I W Myers Funeral Directors are reputed to be the oldest established family funeral directors in Britain. It was founded over 300 years ago in 1701, in Wheldrake, York when the Myers family were undertakers, joiners and wheelwrights.

James Myers joined the firm in 1999 and continued in the Myers tradition after his late grandfather, Ian William Myers, passed away in February 2005. In 2011, James, due to ill health, was unable to continue to run the business. Together, we entered a funeral partnership to support the business in this difficult time. 

 

Having worked with J G Fielder & Son for over 30 years, James approached us and asked if we would take over the business, knowing that we would look after his family name. James' health has now thankfully improved. He now manages his family's Monumental Masons in Wheldrake. James offers a valued complementary service to the family business.
